TV Streaming Subscriptions Tracker

Track all the costs associated with cord-cutting with this cool TV Streaming Subscriptions Tracker.

It’s pretty much a given, cord-cutting has a lot of great benefits. Like watching TV on your schedule, choosing from a long list of apps. And streaming TV services which offer content at a more affordable price than cable TV or satellite.

But cord-cutting can also get expensive. Especially if one goes a little too crazy and starts signing up for too many channels, apps and services at once.

TV Streaming Subscriptions Tracker To The Rescue

If your monthly credit card bill is high and you don’t know why, use this handy spreadsheet tool one of our cord-cutting members built. We teamed it by adding common streaming TV services and added hyperlinks to visit their website. And this tool will show you without a doubt what it costs every month to be a cord-cutter. Or not!

How to Use the Tracker App

You can’t edit the spreadsheet until you make your own copy. To do so click on the File Menu inside the spreadsheet. (Top left corner of the page.)

Then click Make a Copy of the TV Streaming Subscriptions Tracker which will save it to your Google Drive account. If you don’t have a Drive account click here to create one with Gmail.

Then after its been saved, you can edit the tracker to show only which services you subscribe to add the cost per month. Or multiply the monthly fee X 12 and see the annual price.

This will then give you a good idea of the costs involved to cut the cord vs what you may be paying now with cable or satellite TV.

Click the orange button below to get your copy of the Streaming TV Subscriptions Tracker:

Once you saved the subscription tracker, click any of the names to check out, subscribe or cancel that service. Add in any other non-streaming related subscriptions like monthly broadband, power or phone bills you would like to track. Be sure to delete the costs of any service not subscribed to.

This is a great tool to manage your budget and let you know exactly where your money is being spent every month.

PBS Going After Cord Cutters with Local Content

Cord Cutters can stream local PBS content live alongside their live TV programing.

Beginning April 1, Cord Cutters can Stream PBS Content Alongside Their PrimeTime TV Shows

The Public Broadcasting Company will offer Local programs which can be streamed by year-end. And this won’t be available as part of other paid subscription channels like YouTube Live, Hulu Live or Sling TV. Cord cutters will need to get their stand-alone app or channel. Which will work on popular media streamers like Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV or PC.

Live Streaming Local Content Coming Soon

Currently in negotiation with local affiliates, they want to have their content added in over 50 markets. And these will be available across the country by the end of the year. And their local content will be available to stream right alongside their mainstream programming.

New Premium TV Channel Announced

Hoping to make their content more friendly to cord cutters the company recently announced a new streaming channel named PBS Living.

This new service which costs $2.99/mo after a free 7/day trial will feature some of their premium shows like Antique Roadshow, This Old House, French Chef and more.

PBS Living joins their two other stand-alone streaming channels which include PBS Masterpiece, ($5.99) with shows like Jamestown and the Windsors. And the popular channel, PBS Kids ($4.99) which carries children shows such as Mister Rogers, The Reading Rainbow, Pinkalicious plus many more.

Stream NCAA Tournament With Matchup Schedules

It’s an exciting time cancel cable. And this is just another sign, of more a la carte channels to come. As more broadcasters are coming to grips, that the old way of doing business is slowly coming to an end. And embracing cord cutters and streaming television is the way of the future.
